Divorced Parent Dropoff
So Torch and I have been doing QUITE some thinking…

In our months of absense, I am pleased to say that She has long since been enrolled in school. Only two months to go! I have long since graduated and am now licensed in cosmetology. :) Im working at a BoRics here in Michigan while She goes to school down the road! We’re looking forward to the future now, getting ready to move out and all. We’ve made some crucial decisions to how the band’s future is looking.

I have been writing a book recently that Im currently dubbing, “Elementalism: a study in life and how to uh learn to channel your inner element to umm..yeah. Make friends.” So yeah…thats fun so far. As for Eleni, she has been so busy with school and all. Shes a master fx makeup artist in the making! Also, she is amazing.

Long story short, We have decided to change some major shit, as stated. Weve decided that perhaps this band will persue in a different way if its just…well…me. :\ We dont even have very many fans, but the ones who have shown great interest are so greatly appreciated. You dont even know! My explanation for this sudden change in our lives is that Eleni is an artist. Being an artist, she has to explore it all. Its hard to do that while sticking to one thing youre already good at and Im sure you guys can understand. I do and Ive decided Im not ready to seek out anything else yet at all. I love writing music. I’d like to live this trade longer :). Im going to revamp the youtube page and start a web show! Well not really a show, but moreso just a place where maybe I can play music and we can all enjoy each other? Haha…ha..yeah. Im working on it.

Anyway. So thats what Im gonna do with my life. If you guys would care to follow me, stick around for when I give out the link sometime in the future. Otherwise, Im sorry if anyone’s actually upset… Divorced Parent Dropoff is a dream that never really made it I guess. :. Thank you all for all of your kind words and support to both Eleni and I. It really meant alot.

It’s not “bacon,” it’s a pig.

It’s not “veal,” it’s a calf.

It’s not “steak,” it’s a cow.

It’s not “meat,” it’s an animal…

its not “fruit”, its dividing cells that accumulate fructose…

it’s not delivery. it’s digiorno.

It’s not a scene, it’s a god damn arms race

Eleni and i just played this. After about two minutes of snog and me occasionally laughing, eleni finally roared “ITS NOT ENOUGH!!!” whilst flailing at my ta tas. I win! ^^

Hey there orphans!

Merry Christmas from Torch and I! We hope you all got what you wanted for christmas. Also, for those whose parents are divorced, i have one thing to say: TWO CHRISTMASES. :)

But in all seriousness have a good night with your friends and family and be safe. We are starting to get to work on some new stuff and we’re hoping to get a demo started as soon as we find an affordable means of recording.

Much love from DPD,
Lady Luck

Any advice from torch about playing bar chords?
Anonymous

Well, to be honest, bar chords suck no matter what so i avoid them like the plague. But if i have any advice about playing them, I’d have to say just work on keeping the bar finger tight down on the strings more than the other fingers on the individual strings. Its all in building up muscle memory.

ORPHANS!

sorry we’ve been gone! but rest assured, I am working on a new song (kinda) and Lady Luck has written a keyboard part for “marionette” :D things are still moving with DPD :p LET THE WRITING COMMENCE!

Love and fatigue ~Torch J

this is for Lady Luck, did you have any professional vocal training or did you just teach yourself to sing like that?? :)

1. That’s very sweet of you, first of all, thank you!. B. (I like to mix up my bulletpoints) I have had really no professional training. I was in choir for about 2 years and have always been a fan of musical theatre. Phantom of the Opera actually taught me how to sing. I saw it when I was 4 in Toronto. Little known fact, I sing opera as well. :3. Been practicing ever since. It helps to listen and try to imitate to every singer you ever like. Ever. XD Have a good day and thanks again, anon!
